TANAY, RIZAL — The San Ildefonso de Toledo Parish, led by Rev. Fr. Ferdinand C. Delatado, joined other parishes of the Vicariate of San Ildefonso de Toledo in visiting the Diocesan Shrine and Parish of St. Paul of the Cross in Marikina City on October 17 for the first day of the Novenario in preparation for its solemn declaration as a Minor Basilica.

The visit marked the beginning of a nine-day spiritual journey leading to the historic declaration, which recognizes the significant role of St. Paul of the Cross Parish in the faith and pastoral life of the Diocese.

The event gathered clergy, religious, and lay faithful from various parishes under the vicariate, all united in prayer and thanksgiving.

During the liturgical celebration, Fr. Delatado, together with the other concelebrating priests, offered prayers for the continued growth of the Church and for the fruitful outcome of the upcoming declaration.

Representatives from San Ildefonso de Toledo Parish actively participated in the celebration, joining in the holy mass and procession as part of the novena rites.

As the Diocese prepares for the solemn declaration of the Minor Basilica, the faithful continue to be reminded of their calling to serve with devotion, unity, and gratitude to God.
