TANAY, RIZAL – The San Ildefonso de Toledo Parish joyfully celebrated the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary with a series of spiritual activities held from September 5 to 8, 2025.
The celebration was led by Rev. Fr. Ferdinand C. Delatado, together with parish organizations and Marian devotees.
The observance began with the Triduum Masses from September 5 to 7, offering three days of prayer, reflection, and thanksgiving in honor of the birth of the Blessed Mother. Each day of the triduum highlighted one virtue of Mary—humility, obedience, and faith—reminding the faithful of her example as the model of discipleship.
On September 7, a Solemn Procession took place around the parish grounds, featuring various images of the Blessed Virgin Mary carried by different ministries and organizations. The procession served as a public expression of faith and devotion, uniting parishioners in gratitude and reverence for the Mother of God.
The Feast Day Mass was held on September 8, marking the culmination of the week-long celebration. In his homily, Fr. Delatado emphasized that the birth of Mary brought joy to the world as it signified the coming of Christ, the Savior. He urged the faithful to imitate Mary’s faith and trust in God’s plan.
Throughout the celebration, the daily recitation of the Holy Rosary was also observed. The activities reflected the community’s deep devotion to the Blessed Mother and strengthened the parish’s mission to live out Marian virtues in everyday life under the guidance of San Ildefonso de Toledo.
