Parish observes National Day of Prayer and Repentance

TANAY, RIZAL – The San Ildefonso de Toledo Parish joined the nationwide observance of the National Day of Prayer and Repentance on October 7, 2025, in honor of the Feast of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary. The faithful gathered to pray for forgiveness, renewal, and peace, under the guidance of Rev. Fr. Ferdinand C. Delatado.
Throughout the day, parishioners participated in the recitation of the Holy Rosary and special prayers of repentance. The celebration highlighted the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, encouraging all to return to God with humility and contrition. The church was filled with devotees praying together, reflecting on the nation’s moral and spiritual healing.
In his reflection, Fr. Delatado reminded the faithful that prayer and repentance bring spiritual transformation. “The Rosary is not merely a repetition of words; it is a journey of the heart that draws us closer to God,” he said. His message emphasized personal conversion and communal renewal through the Blessed Mother’s guidance.
The celebration also included the exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, allowing time for silent prayer and reflection. Parishioners were invited to confess, seek reconciliation, and offer intentions for peace in families, communities, and the nation.
