TANAY, RIZAL – Members of various ministries and organizations from San Ildefonso de Toledo Parish joined the Trillion Peso March held at the EDSA Shrine on September 21, 2025. The peaceful demonstration called for transparency, accountability, and moral governance in the country.
Parish representatives joined thousands of faithful from different dioceses and communities.
In solidarity with the national call for prayer and responsibility, parishioners were also encouraged to wear white during all Sunday Masses on the same day.
The white attire symbolized hope, unity, and the desire for moral renewal in both Church and society. Homes and church premises were adorned with white ribbons as signs of faith and peace.
In his homily on the mass at the parish, Rev. Fr. Ferdinand C. Delatado reminded the faithful that the call for accountability begins within each person. “The color white should not only be seen in our clothes,” he said, “but in the purity of our hearts — sincere, honest, and prayerful for our nation.”
The event highlighted the unity between civic responsibility and Christian faith. Parishioners were encouraged to pray for government leaders, communities affected by corruption, and those striving for reform in the country’s governance.
Through both prayer and participation, the parish demonstrated that faith is not confined to the walls of the Church but extends to public witness and action. The Day of Prayer and Accountability reaffirmed the Church’s role in guiding the faithful toward truth, justice, and peace.
