TANAY, RIZAL – In the midst of trials and differences, the faithful of San Ildefonso de Toledo Parish gathered on the evening of August 23, 2025, for a solemn event entitled “Night of Prayer: A Call for Peace.”

The activity began at 7:00 p.m. inside the parish church and was led by the Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Ferdinand C. Delatado. The event aimed to bring the community together in prayer and hope for unity and peace.

The night began with the recitation of prayers and hymns that reflected the longing for harmony in the nation and within families. Parishioners, ministries, and organizations took part, raising their voices in faith and supplication. Through collective prayer, the people expressed their desire for light amid the challenges confronting the country and the world.

In his reflection, Fr. Delatado emphasized that peace begins in every heart that chooses forgiveness and love. He reminded the faithful that “In God, there is always light and hope. We are called to be instruments of peace wherever we are.” His message encouraged everyone to continue praying and working for genuine reconciliation and understanding among communities.

Following the prayer service, parishioners shared brief testimonies of faith, underscoring how prayer has strengthened them during personal and communal struggles. The parish choir led the congregation in singing songs of peace, adding solemnity to the event.

The Night of Prayer served as a meaningful reminder that despite divisions, faith can bring people together as one family in Christ under the patronage of San Ildefonso de Toledo.
