TANAY, RIZAL – Siervo de San Ildefonso, a lay organization under the San Ildefonso de Toledo Parish, extended an open invitation to all parishioners who wished to serve the Church and deepen their devotion to the parish patron, San Ildefonso de Toledo.
The group encouraged individuals with willing hearts to dedicate their time, talents, and energy in service to God and His people.
The Siervo de San Ildefonso is composed of volunteers who assist in various parish activities, liturgical celebrations, and community outreach programs. Through this invitation, the organization hoped to inspire more parishioners to take part in the mission of spreading devotion to the parish patron saint through service and unity.
The invitation, officially released by the parish office and the group’s Facebook page, included a reflection from the Gospel of Matthew (20:28): “The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve.” This Scripture verse underscored the true meaning of Christian service — one rooted in humility and love for God.
In his message, Rev. Fr. Ferdinand C. Delatado encouraged the faithful to respond to the call of service with sincerity. “To serve is not merely an activity,” he said, “but a calling that springs from the heart. In serving the Church, we serve Christ Himself.”
The call for new members remains open, and those interested were invited to contact the parish office or the official page of Siervo de San Ildefonso. The parish continues to uphold its mission of forming servant-leaders who embody the spirit of dedication, unity, and faithfulness under the guidance of San Ildefonso de Toledo.
