TANAY, RIZAL – The First Day of the Patron Visit of San Ildefonso was successfully held on Saturday, December 7, at the Chapel of Our Lady of Lourdes in De Castro Subdivision, Barangay Plaza Aldea.
The holy mass, officiated by the parish priest, Rev. Fr. Ferdinand Delatado, brought together a dedicated congregation of devotees who actively participated in the event. This gathering was not only an expression of faith but also a demonstration of the community’s commitment to honoring the patron saint of the parish.
The event featured heartfelt prayers, inspiring homilies, and hymns that celebrated the life and mission of San Ildefonso. Parishioners expressed their gratitude and reflected on the saint’s virtues, which continue to serve as a source of inspiration for many.
A Strengthening of Devotion and Community Spirit
The Dalaw Patron is a significant initiative by the parish to extend devotion to San Ildefonso beyond the church walls, reaching more communities within the area. According to Rev. Fr. Ferdie, “This is a way to bring the faith closer to the hearts of the people and to remind us of our shared mission of service and love.”
Apart from the mass, the event provided an opportunity for fellowship among attendees. Parishioners shared stories and testimonies about their faith journeys and the blessings they have received through the intercession of San Ildefonso.
Looking Ahead
The second day of the Dalaw Patron is set to take place on December 21 at the Daong Chapel. Devotees and parishioners are warmly encouraged to join as the pilgrimage continues, offering more opportunities for spiritual growth, communal prayer, and deeper connections within the community.
This series of activities is part of the parish’s ongoing mission to spread the light of faith and strengthen the bond among its members, ensuring that the legacy of San Ildefonso remains alive and vibrant in the hearts of all.
The parish invites everyone to participate in this meaningful celebration, fostering a deeper devotion to San Ildefonso and celebrating the shared journey of faith.
