TANAY, RIZAL—Restoration works has just started on the choirloft of San Ildefonso de Toledo Parish, Tanay, Rizal.

The project, situated inside the church, responds to concerns highlighted in the Conservation Management Plan (CMP).

The CMP identified significant deterioration in the ceiling beneath the choirloft, caused by termite infestation and the aging of wood ceiling panels.

The issues have led to falling debris, raising safety concerns.

The renovation is a critical part of the CMP’s efforts to address architectural and structural vulnerabilities within the church.

Prioritizing the choirloft—located near the entrance—aims to prevent potential accidents and ensure long-term safety for parishioners.

The ongoing work is essential to restore and preserve the safety and integrity of this historic site.
