SAMAL, BATAAN – Youth pilgrims from the Neo-Catechumenal Way of the San Ildefonso de Toledo Parish embarked on a spiritually enriching 3-Day Youth Pilgrimage in Samal, Bataan.

The event, which brought together youth from all over the Philippines, was an opportunity for reflection, community, and spiritual growth.

In a heartfelt message delivered on March 24, 2024, marking the 5th Anniversary of the Post-Synodal Apostolic Exhortation Christus Vivit, Pope Francis addressed young people with words of encouragement and gratitude.

“Dear young people, you are the living hope of a church on the move! For this reason, I thank for your presence and for your contribution to the life of the Body of Christ,” the Pope said.

He urged the youth to maintain their vibrant enthusiasm, likening their role to a well-tuned engine, and to continue living and sharing the joy of the risen Jesus.

The pilgrimage, an integral part of the Neo-Catechumenal Way, aligns with Pope Francis’s call for young people to actively participate in the life of the Church and to embody its message with enthusiasm and dedication.

Participants expressed their gratitude for the experience and pledged to keep the spirit of the pilgrimage alive in their daily lives.
