‘Spirituality of Fundraising’ seminar held at Tanay Church

TANAY, RIZAL –San Ildefonso de Toledo Parish community came together for a seminar titled “Spirituality of Fundraising” on Saturday, April 11, 2024 in the parish hall.
The topic, which was based on Matthew 16:8 was discussed by Reverend Father Ferdinand Santos, MBA, PhD, the Parochial Vicar of St. Ursula Parish in Binangonan.
Fr. Santos emphasized that giving should stem from love and gratitude, transforming it into an act of worship rather than just a financial obligation.
He encouraged attendees to consider their motivations for giving, suggesting that genuine generosity can lead to spiritual fulfillment and a closer relationship with God.
He also highlighted community events, such as bake sales and charity runs, which not only raise funds but also build camaraderie and strengthen community bonds.
The discussion also touched on the importance of transparency and accountability in fundraising efforts.
Father Santos explained how being open about where donations go can enhance trust within the community.
The event successfully built a sense of teamwork among parishioners and highlighted the importance of giving as a key part of their faith.
