San Ildefonso de Toledo Parish celebrates 418th Foundation Anniversary

TANAY, RIZAL – The San Ildefonso de Toledo Parish in Tanay, Rizal, commemorated its 418th Founding Anniversary this week with a series of religious services and community-focused activities, culminating in a special Mass and procession on November 12.
The festivities began on November 3, 2024, with the launch of “Kalinga ni San Ildefonso”, a week-long series of outreach programs aimed at supporting various sectors of the local community.
These initiatives, organized by the parish, provided assistance to those in need, underscoring the church’s deep commitment to social responsibility and service.
On November 12, the parish held a solemn concelebrated Mass at 9:00 a.m., which was presided over by His Excellency, Most Rev. Ruperto Santos, D.D., Bishop of Antipolo.
The Mass was attended by numerous priests from the Diocese of Antipolo, all gathered to celebrate the parish’s significant milestone.
The celebration was made all the more meaningful with the presence of the revered image of Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage from Antipolo, a symbol of protection and guidance for the faithful.
The Mass was followed by a procession in the evening, where the replica image of San Ildefonso de Toledo, the patron saint of the parish, was carried through the streets of Tanay.
The 418th anniversary of San Ildefonso de Toledo Parish was not just a celebration of the past, but also a reminder of the enduring faith that continues to unite the community.
