TANAY, RIZAL – Since the start of the month, restoration work on the roofing of San Ildefonso de Toledo Parish has been ongoing as part of efforts to preserve the church complex.

The project is guided by the Parish Conservation Management Plan (CMP), which aims to maintain and protect the church’s historic and structural integrity for future generations. The roofing restoration is especially important in preparing the church for the rainy season.

This initiative is part of the parish’s fundraising program called “Ating Simbahan, Ating Pangalagaan Year 2,” where parishioners contribute a specific amount monthly to support various church projects, including the ongoing roofing repair.

“Bahagi ng proceeds ng ating fundraising project ang pagkukumpuni at pagpapatibay ng bubong ng ating simbahan bilang paghahanda sa tag-ulan,” said Rev. Fr. Ferdinand Delatado, parish priest.

He also expressed heartfelt thanks to the workers braving the heat and weather conditions to carry out the repairs.

The parish encourages anyone who wishes to help to visit the parish office or support the fundraising project. “Maraming salamat po sa inyong malasakit at tulong para sa patuloy na pagpapaayos ng ating simbahan,” the parish added.

Through these efforts, the community continues to work together to ensure that San Ildefonso de Toledo Parish remains a strong and welcoming home of faith.
