TANAY, RIZAL – On November 27, San Ildefonso de Toledo Parish, Tanay, Rizal, took part in the observance of “Red Wednesday” by holding a special Holy Mass in solidarity with persecuted Christians around the world.

The church was lit up in red, and many mass goers participated by wearing the color red to show their unity and support.

The mass celebrated was a moment for prayer and an act of remembrance for Christians facing persecution for their faith in various parts of the world.

The observance was a time to reflect on the sacrifices of the martyrs throughout history—those who, through their suffering and ultimate sacrifice, showed devotion to God.

The color red, displayed throughout the church and in the attire of the massgoers, symbolized the blood of the martyrs, who showed their love for God even until the end of their lives.

The observance of “Red Wednesday” was an opportunity for the parish community to understand the challenges faced by Christians around the world and to express their support through prayer, reflection, and unity in faith.
