TANAY, RIZAL, PHILIPPINES – San Ildefonso de Toledo Parish celebrated Father’s Day this year with a heartfelt tribute to fathers, highlighting their significant role in families and communities through a special initiative called “Hapag ni San Ildefonso” on June 16.

Following the 6:00 am mass, the community gathered for a unique event aimed at honoring fatherhood while supporting the preservation efforts of the parish.

Organized by the Committee on Special Projects of the Historical and Cultural Heritage Commission, “Hapag ni San Ildefonso” or Breakfast for a Cause was conceived to raise funds for the rehabilitation of the church’s Choir Loft, a crucial step in maintaining the church’s status as a national cultural treasure.

The event, which is set to become a monthly activity, was not only a gesture of appreciation for fathers but also an opportunity for different sectors of the parish to interact with the parish priest.

The Ministry on Social & Human Development, with support from the Parish Youth Ministry, played a key role in facilitating the event, ensuring its success.

Approximately 150 parishioners participated in the event, enjoying a traditional Filipino breakfast that was generously prepared and served.

The overwhelming support from the community and the dedication of the organizers made the affair a meaningful and successful endeavor.

Father’s Day at San Ildefonso de Toledo Parish was more than just a celebration; it was a testament to the community’s commitment to preserving their cultural heritage and honoring the role of fathers in shaping the parish’s identity and future.
