Final Draft of Conservation Management Plan presented to Bishop Santos

TANAY, RIZAL – San Ildefonso de Toledo Parish  presents the final draft presentation of the church’s Conservation Management Plan (CMP) to Most. Rev. Ruperto Santos, D.D. on September 19.

The presentation of the parish CMP was led by Arch. Roy De Guzman, including Rev. Fr. Ferdinand Delatado,  Parish priest, Sis. Lina Macarulay-Tanjuatco, Parish Pastoral Council President and Sis. Amparo M Delino, Parish Finance Council head.

The CMP aims to preserve the rich cultural and historical heritage of the parish, ensuring compliance with the guidelines set forth by national cultural agencies, including the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), the National Museum (NM), and the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP).

Bishop Santos expressed his support for the CMP, citing some recommendations, alongside other diocesan representatives, including Diocesan Chancellor Fr. Al Pestaño, Diocesan Auditor Fr. Fernando Cornejo, and Construction Department head Fr. Jun Meneses.

Looking ahead, the finalized draft will be presented to national cultural agencies, where further revisions may be made based on feedback. This crucial step will determine which aspects of the CMP are approved for implementation.

The conservation of the San Ildefonso de Toledo Parish not only aims to safeguard its architectural integrity but also to enhance the cultural and spiritual life of the community it serves.
