TANAY, RIZAL – On March 14, 2025, the San Ildefonso de Toledo Parish continued its Lenten tradition with the second Stations of the Cross, held at Barangay Tabing-Ilog and Brgy. Mag-Ampon.
Led by Rev. Fr. Ferdinand C. Delatado, parish priest, the event saw a large turnout of parishioners who gathered for prayer and reflection during the Lenten season.
This year’s Stations of the Cross was marked by a solemn procession, where participants followed the 14 stations commemorating the Passion of Christ.
In a special addition to the traditional devotion, both the image of Nuestro Padre Jesus Nazareno and the image of San Ildefonso de Toledo were carried during the procession, symbolizing the deep connection between the local parish and their patron saints.
As with the previous week’s event, families in the community prepared candles and images to represent each station, creating a meaningful and personal experience for all those involved.
The procession moved through Barangay Tabing-Ilog and Mag-Ampon, allowing the faithful to reflect on the journey of Christ to the cross, while also honoring the heritage of their parish through the presence of San Ildefonso de Toledo.
The second Stations of the Cross was a continuation of the yearly Lenten tradition at the parish, offering parishioners an opportunity to come together in devotion and to remember the sacrifice of Christ. The event highlighted the spiritual unity of the San Ildefonso de Toledo Parish community as they journeyed through Lent, preparing for the celebration of Easter.
