TANAY, RIZAL – During the celebration of the Solemnity of Christ the King, San Ildefonso de Toledo Parish conducts the commissioning of 384 dedicated church workers from 32 different parish organizations on November 23.
The commissioning ceremony recognized the vital contributions of these individuals to the spiritual life and mission of the parish.
The event’s purpose was to formally acknowledge the commitment of these church workers to the parish’s ongoing initiatives and community outreach.
The commissioning was a call to deepen their service to God and the church, with the goal of further strengthening the faith of the entire parish community as it prepares for the Jubilee Year in 2025.
In the lead-up to the occasion, the workers participated in two intensive parish formation programs aimed at preparing them spiritually and intellectually for their roles.
The first program, held on November 3, was entitled “Devotion and Popular Piety in the Parish Community.”
Led by Bro. Ivan Kendrick Panganiban, the session explored the role of popular devotion and piety in enriching the faith of parish members and strengthening the parish community’s connection with God.
The second program, held on November 10, focused on “Accompanying the Pilgrims of Hope Towards Jubilee Year 2025.”
This session was centered around guiding the parish workers in their spiritual journey toward the upcoming Jubilee, emphasizing hope, renewal, and deepening the faith of the entire parish family.
A third formation program, initially planned for November 17 but postponed due to a typhoon, is scheduled for December 8, which will also serve as the Advent Recollection of the parish.
Titled “Hello, Love Again,” this session will be led by Rev. Fr. Ferdinand C. Delatado and will continue the spiritual formation of the workers as they prepare for their roles in the coming years.
The program aims to inspire a renewed sense of love and commitment to the church’s mission, particularly in light of the approaching Jubilee Year.
Father Delatado, the parish priest, emphasized the importance of these formation programs, stating that they are part of the parish’s long-term vision to strengthen the church’s service and outreach.
“This commissioning and formation effort are essential to our parish’s continued growth and our commitment to nurturing a vibrant, faith-filled community,” he said.
With these programs, the parish aims to solidify the spiritual and practical formation of its workers, enabling them to serve with greater faith, enthusiasm, and dedication as they move toward the Jubilee celebrations in 2025.
