Confessions

“Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.”
— James 5:16

What is a Confession?

The sacrament of reconciliation or penance, is a sacred ritual through which believers confess their sins to a priest, receive absolution, and are reconciled with God and the Church. It involves contrition for sins, the admission of wrongdoing, and the commitment to amend one’s life. Through this sacrament, Catholics experience the mercy and forgiveness of God, and are strengthened in their resolve to live virtuously and grow in holiness.
