ANTIPOLO CITY, PHILIPPINES — In a bid to streamline and enhance communication and outreach within the Diocese of Antipolo, Most Rev. Ruperto C. Santos, D.D., has issued a directive requiring all parish priests to take charge of their respective parishes’ social media communications.

The directive, addressed to all parish priests in the diocese, underscores the need for a standardized approach to managing social media accounts.

This move aims to ensure consistency and cohesion in the digital presence of the diocese’s parishes.

“As we continue to enhance our communication and outreach efforts within the Diocese of Antipolo, it has come to my attention that there is a need to standardize the management of social media accounts associated with our parishes,” Bishop Santos stated in the memorandum.

“Therefore, I am issuing a directive that the SoCom (Social Communications) of our parishes must be administered by the Parish Priest,” he added

Bishop Santos instructed each SoCom Head to hand over all account details and management responsibilities to their parish priests.

This includes providing necessary login credentials, passwords, and any pertinent information to ensure a smooth transition.

The memorandum highlights the importance of this change in furthering the mission of spreading the Gospel through modern communication means.

Bishop Santos expressed gratitude for the clergy’s attention to this matter and their continued dedication to this mission.

The directive reflects the diocese’s commitment to leveraging social media as a vital tool for evangelization and community engagement.

For more information, parishioners and the public are encouraged to contact their local parish offices or visit the Diocese of Antipolo’s official website and social media pages.
