TANAY, RIZAL – In an effort to encourage children, teens, and even adults to swap traditional Halloween costumes for attire inspired by saints, San Ildefonso de Toledo Parish organized its inaugural “Dress Like a Saint” event on October 26.

Participants from various ministries and schools took part in the procession, proudly showcasing their costumes alongside images and replicas of revered saints.

This initiative, spearheaded by the parish’s Worship Ministry, aimed to highlight the importance of saints in Catholic tradition and to promote a deeper understanding of their lives and virtues.

The “Dress Like a Saint” activity invited participants of all ages to embody their favorite saints, fostering reflection on their contributions to the faith.

Event organizers sought to create a sense of reverence and community, bringing families together to celebrate the rich traditions of Catholicism ahead of the All Saints Day on November 1.

“By dressing as saints, we not only celebrate their lives but also reflect on their teachings,” Bro. Lance Howell Yanga, head of the Worship Ministry stated, emphasizing the event’s educational aspect.
