Faith through Media: A Story of a SOCCOM server

I am profoundly grateful and blessed to be part of the SOCCOM Family.

Reflecting on my journey, the discipline of rising early for morning Mass was initially challenging, yet over time, it transformed into a cherished ritual. As a member of SOCCOM, I’ve come to realize that dedication, passion, and discipline are essential, but above all, a heart ready to serve is paramount.

In this role, one encounters a spectrum of reactions—from deep appreciation to casual indifference, from warm acceptance to outright rejection. These varied responses underscore the diversity of perspectives and journeys people have with their faith. They remind me that our mission isn’t just about broadcasting messages; it’s about authentically embodying God’s love and grace in all our interactions.

During live Masses, technical challenges often tested my resolve: PCs froze at critical moments, internet connections faltered, and power outages disrupted broadcasts. Through prayer and seeking guidance, I learned to navigate these challenges with patience and trust. These moments of adversity became profound lessons in resilience, teaching me the importance of surrendering control and relying wholeheartedly on God’s providence.

Each difficulty encountered has strengthened my faith and deepened my commitment to this vocation. They have shaped me into the person I am today—a person more attuned to God’s presence in the midst of chaos, more reliant on His guidance in times of uncertainty.

Now, as I take on the responsibility of SOCCOM Coordinator, I carry with me the wealth of experiences and lessons learned. They serve as guiding lights, illuminating my path as I strive to lead others in spreading God’s word through SOCCOM. My goal extends beyond technical proficiency; it encompasses fostering a community of faith, where every message transmitted is imbued with the love and compassion of Christ.

This journey is a continuous invitation to grow deeper in faith and service. It reminds me daily that being a part of SOCCOM means more than just fulfilling a role; it’s about embracing a calling that requires humility, empathy, and a willingness to learn from both successes and setbacks alike.

In gratitude for the blessings that have paved my path, I approach each day with joy and gladness, knowing that God continually equips me for the tasks He sets before me. With a heart full of faith and determination, I commit myself anew to serving God and His people through the mission of SOCCOM.

May my journey inspire others to embrace their own callings with courage and trust in God’s unfailing grace.
