As we joyfully celebrate the foundation anniversary of our parish, we also mark a deeper spiritual milestone — the enthronement of the image of Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage (Our Lady of Antipolo). This act is not only a gesture of devotion but also a profound expression of our unity with the Diocese of Antipolo, to which we belong as one faith community.
While our secondary patroness remains, we gratefully acknowledge that this year marks the third consecutive visit of the Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage to our town. Her presence during this celebration is a special grace, a sign of her maternal care and of our shared devotion with the entire Diocese. Due respect and recognition are always given to both the Mahal na Birhen ng Tanay and the Virgin of Antipolo — each honored in their rightful times and solemn commemorations.
It is worth remembering that from the very beginning, our principal patron has been San Ildefonso, under whose protection our parish was founded and continues to grow. Over the years, devotion to the Blessed Mother has beautifully flourished within our community — not in replacement, but in complement — enriching our faith and deepening our love for God through Mary.
By enthroning the image of Our Lady of Antipolo during our foundation anniversary, we renew our connection to the Mother Church of the Diocese — the Antipolo Cathedral — and to the heart of our diocesan identity. This celebration becomes a moment of recommitment: to remain faithful children under Mary’s maternal guidance, walking together toward peace and holiness.
Every anniversary is a journey of gratitude — a time to look back at how God has guided our parish through challenges, growth, and blessings. Likewise, Our Lady of Antipolo has always been the companion of pilgrims, a symbol of faith that travels through life’s storms. Her enthronement reminds us that our parish story is also a pilgrimage — one marked by prayer, perseverance, and hope. Through her presence, we are invited to continue our journey with renewed faith and confidence in God’s providence.
A Call to Be Instruments of Peace
Her title, Our Lady of Peace, perfectly mirrors our parish’s mission: to be a community of peace, reconciliation, and love. As we honor our foundation, we also reaffirm our commitment to build harmony within our ministries, families, and neighborhoods. Just as Mary brought the Prince of Peace into the world, she now calls us to bring that same peace into our daily lives — to forgive, to understand, and to unite.
Gratitude for the Past, Mission for the Future
The enthronement of Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage is both an act of thanksgiving and mission. We give thanks for the years of grace our parish has received and the many hands and hearts that built our community. At the same time, we embrace our mission to bring Christ’s peace and love to others. With Mary as our guide, we journey forward with renewed zeal, courage, and compassion.
Strengthening Our Diocesan Identity
To enthrone Our Lady of Antipolo during our parish anniversary is to declare: We are one with our Diocese. We are not an isolated parish but part of a greater family of faith, bound by a shared devotion to the Blessed Mother who watches over us all. Her image will serve as a reminder that we belong to a pilgrim Church, always moving forward in faith, hope, and love.
As we celebrate our parish foundation anniversary, we welcome Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage into our hearts and our home. May her motherly presence inspire us to continue our journey as a community united in peace, firm in faith, and ever faithful to God’s mission.
